                Nebuchadnezzar The Believer

The Unsaved Nebuchadnezzar

Nebuchadnezzar started out as a very wicked and vile king. He was the King of Babylon, the seat of Satan. Nebuchadnezzar in a fit of rage condemned three Jewish noblemen to death, because they would not bow down to an image of gold that he had erected to himself.
This is where the story begins. Nebuchadnezzar in the same wild rage of wrath ordered that his furnace be heated seven times hotter than it was designed to be heated. When the furnace was raging at an extremely high temperature, Nebuchadnezzar commanded Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego be cast into the midst of the flame. The heat was so intense that the guards who executed the sentence perished. Nebuchadnezzar watched as the three were cast into the flame.
What he saw next would change his life. He saw four figures walking around in the furnace alive! He stood up in shock and asked his counselors how many had been thrown in. He was assured that only three had been cast into the blaze. He then said that the fourth figure looked like the Son of God!
Nebuchadnezzar had an encounter with Jesus, the Son of God. Later on, after God had worked on his heart he became a follower of the true and living God. This is the story of the conversion of Nebuchadnezzar.

Daniel 3:21  Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

Daniel 3:25  He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

Daniel 3:26  Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.

Nebuchadnezzar
Is Troubled

On late night Nebuchadnezzar had a dream that greatly troubled him. He was scared and he wanted to know what his dream meant, so he called upon the occult for help. He called for all of the magicians and astrologers in the realm to come and interpret his dream. None of the magicians or astrologers could tell him his dream or the interpretation of it. So he ordered them all to be slain.
Daniel came to the King and with the help of God made known the dream and the interpretation of it. God had the answers the occult did not.

John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Nebuchadnezzar Becomes Proud

A year later Nebuchadnezzar was walking in his palace and became very proud of all that he had accomplished. He did not give the glory to God, but rather he gave the glory to himself.
God became angry with him and sent him out to live like a wild animal

Daniel 4:30  The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?

Daniel 4:29-33  At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon. The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty? While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee. And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws.

Nebuchadnezzar Repents and Becomes Gloriously Converted

After a period of living like an animal, Nebuchadnezzar’s senses returned to him and he glorified the name of God. He repented of his sin and became a follower of the true and living God.

Daniel 4:34  And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:

Daniel 4:35  And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

Daniel 4:36  At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me.

Daniel 4:37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

Do You Want To Become A Gloriously Converted Christian?

If you want to become a Christian you will have to first repent of your sin. Repentance means simply to make a 180-degree turn to God from your sin. You have to purpose in your heart that with the help of God you will leave your sin behind, God will help you. He will help you break even the most powerful addiction.
Second you will have to believe in him. You will have to believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that when he died on the Cross he paid the price for your salvation. If you truly believe in the Lord Jesus and you truly want to make him the Lord of your life, then why don’t you tell him about your decision through a little prayer that might go something like this.
Dear God, I come into your presence in the name of The Lord Jesus Christ.  I admit that I am a sinner and that I need your forgiveness.  I believe that Jesus Christ died on The Cross, to pay for my sins. I am willing to turn to you from my sin. I now invite Jesus Christ into my heart, and my life, as my own personal Savior in Jesus' name amen.

If you have just prayed this prayer you have become a Christian. God was able to save the King of the of most wicket nation on the face of the earth, he is able to you too! You can’t be too bad to receive salvation.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

If you have not accepted Jesus as your Savior, then do not put off your decision till tomorrow, for tomorrow may never come!
