Because its message is timeless

All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: but the word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

1 Peter 1. 24, 25

Because it is the inspired Word of God to every man

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Timothy 3. 16, 17

Because it is the authoritative record of God's revelation of Himself to man

The prophecy came not in old time by the will of man; but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost

2 Peter 1. 21

Because it describes the Person and Work of the Lord Jesus Christ the Final Word of that revelation

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in times past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son.

Hebrews 1. 1,2

Who said

It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Matthew 4.4

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life; and they are they which testify of Me.

John 5. 39

Because it makes known to sinful men God's only Way of Salvation

The Holy scriptures... are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 3. 15

He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself; he that believeth not God hath made Him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God Gave of his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

1 John 5. 10, 12

God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Cleansing
